There has been a lot of leaks surrounding the Nokia 9 PureView, the smartphone that features Penta-Lens cameras on the back. Earlier, it was leaked in Press Render and now a video has surfaced giving us a glimpse of the device.
Nokia 9 PureView is one of the most awaited smartphone of 2019 and is rumored to arrive early this year. It was tipped to launch in the last week of January but HMD Global has recently delayed the Nokia 9 launch due to some production line issues to August.
Nokia 9 PureView: Design & Display
Nokia 9 is said to have a 5.9-inch QHD (2K) display with HDR 10 support and thin bezels at top and bottom. This is unlike the rumored Nokia 9 successor which is rumored to have a cutout in the display for selfie camera.
The current design seems to be slightly different while a Penta-lens camera system continues to be there. Meanwhile, the notch is missing from the recently leaked images. Although, it can be concluded from the recent leaks that the Nokia 9 PureView will feature a 5.99-inch QHD 18:9 with HDR 10 support.

Nokia 9 PureView: Specifications
A recently leaked video by MySmartPrice might have revealed the hardware specifications of the device. According to the video, the device will sport the previous generation processor i.e. the Snapdragon 845 SoC. The video showcases an in-display fingerprint sensor and will come with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Similar to the other Nokia devices, it will be an Android-One branded smartphones. The leaked video also revealed the device will run Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box.
Nokia 9 PureView: Camera
The camera is one of the biggest highlights of Nokia 9. As per the leaks, there are 7 holes at the back. Five of which houses the 5 camera lenses, one for the LED Flash and the other one for the Proximity sensor.
Leaks suggest that the camera is powered by the Light Camera which uses a technology to combine multiple images into a single stunning picture. However, it is not clear how the five-lenses camera setup will work.
If the latest rumors are to be believed the Nokia 9 will be launched in the last week of January. Although, some rumors have it that a successor to Nokia 9 might be launched in August with 5G connectivity and Snapdragon 855 SoC. With CES 2019 around the corner, HMD Global could also reveal some interesting facts about the device during the event.
It’s too early to say anything about the price of the smartphone. However, it is premium flagship from HMD Global and could be priced somewhere around Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000 in India. Let’s wait and watch how much the Penta-Lens camera phone costs?
