OnePlus has been teasing a Red OnePlus 6 launch on 2nd July. The Chinese manufacturer posted a 15-second teaser video on its official Twitter handle, hinting at a new colour variant. The tweet says, “Now initiating: C61422. Do you wish to continue?” Don’t be puzzled, C61422 is RGB code for Dark Red. As of now, the device is available in 3 colour variants, viz: Mirror Black, Midnight Black, Silk White. While Midnight Black and Silk White are exclusive to the 128GB variant.

The Red OnePlus 6 has been leaked in live images by Slashleaks. The company is also launching an 8GB / 256GB variant of the OnePlus 6 which will go on sale on 10th July via Amazon. OnePlus 6 red is likely to come with the same specification but might be specific to 128GB or 256GB variant. The images reveal a glossy red back with white coloured OnePlus logo. The famous reviewer MKBHD also teased the OnePlus 6 with a twitter post.

The smartphone was launched in May in India and is Amazon exclusive. OnePlus 6 price in India starts at Rs 34,999 for 6GB/64GB variant while the 8GB/128GB variant is priced at Rs 39,999. The 8GB/256GB variant is priced at Rs 43,999.
OnePlus is known to provide high-end specs at a budget. The device comes with a 6.28-inch Full HD+ AMOLED Display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. Powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 the OnePlus 6 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with near stock Oxygen OS. It sports a dual camera setup at the back consisting of 16MP Sony IMX519 sensor with a f/1.7 aperture and a 20MP Sony IM376K sensor with an aperture of f/2.0. At the front, there is a 16MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. The powerhouse is backed by a 3,300mAh battery. The OnePlus 6 comes with the famous Dash Charge technology which is one of the fastest charging technologies in the market.
