Battlegrounds Mobile India, a remake of PUBG Mobile will soon launch in the country. But the game has already created great hype in the country. After the ban on PUBG in India, many gamers were left disappointed and turned to other unconventional ways to play the game. Battlegrounds Mobile India brought a cheer on gamer’s faces and the pre-registrations reached a new milestone in India. The game has crossed 20 million pre-registrations on Google Play Store in just 2 weeks. Krafton the south Korean game maker announced on Twitter.

Battlegrounds Mobile India clocked 7.6 million pre-registrations on the first day. The company said it is overwhelmed by the response it got from gamers across India. Krafton, also announced that the pre-registered users will be eligible for some exciting goodies in the game.

CH Kim, the CEO of Krafton had the following to say about the matter, “We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our Indian fans for their overwhelming response to the BATTLEGROUNDS IP, first developed by me and my team in 2017. The BATTLEGROUNDS IP received love and acclaim from players worldwide, and KRAFTON will continue to build on the IP. That effort includes bringing amazing content to BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA, and providing an incomparable battle royale experience to our players”.

Amidst various rumors which claim the game’s release date to be 18th June, the company has decided to keep mum. Krafton is certainly waiting to create enough hype around the game. We also have no word from Krafton on releasing the game on iOS. The game will only be available for Android devices right now.

You might be wondering how did Krafton come into the picture?

PUBG mobile was banned by the Indian government in September 2020 as it was owned by the Chinese company Tencent. Following the ban, Tencent transferred the ownership to the south Korean game maker Krafton. Krafton then came up with its modified variant of PUBG mobile to launch in the Indian market and called it Battleground Mobile India.
