Samsung is quick enough to announce its second dual-camera smartphone after the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The latest entrant to the J series was listed on the official website in Thailand with price and specifications. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Plus will be a mid-range device with a 13MP + 5MP dual camera at the rear which will give you that bokeh effect which everyone seems to love these days.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Plus runs on Android Nougat with a dual-sim support. It sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display and is powered by a 2.4GHz Helio P20 octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM. Internal storage is at 32GB with the option to expand further using a microSD slot (up to 256GB).
At the back, we have a 13MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 5MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture. This means it will be able to take wonderful low light pictures and there’s a live focus feature at the back, which allows you to blur the background in real-time.
At the front, there is a 16MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture and LED as well as a screen flash to complement your low-light selfies. It packs a 3000mAh battery, and connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and more. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Plus measures at 152.4×74.7×7.9mm.
In terms of design, the device looks pretty similar to the Samsung’s ‘J’ series with an Aluminum body. There is fingerprint sensor right below the display which doubles as a home button. The volume buttons are on the left edge while the power button sits on the right edge of the smartphone. The smartphones will be made available in Black, Gold, and Rose Gold color options.
The device will have native Android Nougat features like multi-window along with dual app feature(which allows you to use two instants of WhatsApp) and an Always-On Display for important notifications, and a secure folder to keep your apps and files private from privy eyes. There is no word on the international availability of the device. Samsung may launch the device in India with a different processor.
