Moto E4, Moto E4 Plus finally launched: Price, Specs & Features

Lenovo-owned Motorola has finally launched its new budget smartphones Moto E4, Moto E4 Plus in the US and other countries. Leaks have already revealed pretty much everything about both the smartphones.

Moto C was recently launched in India which is an entry-level device. Moto E4, Moto E4 Plus offers latest Android 7.1 Nougat along with a fingerprint scanner and front flash for selfies. The Moto E4 is priced at $129.99 (roughly Rs. 8,300) while the Moto E4 Plus starts at $179.99 (roughly Rs 11,500).

The handsets will be available in Iron Grey, Blush Gold, and Oxford Blue color options. Both the Moto E4 and E4 Plus come with a metal finish.

Design

Both the smartphones sport a metal back with a circular camera frame and antenna lines. There is a Motorola batwing logo and a speaker grille also situated at the back of the smartphone. The devices have a Home Button in the front which doubles as a fingerprint sensor. The volume and power keys are both situated on the right edge of the smartphones. The 3.5mm audio jack sits on top and both the smartphones also have a water repellent coating.

Both the devices will be powered by a MediaTek MTK6737M chipset while it might get the Snapdragon 427 SoC in some markets. The Moto E4 sports a 5-inch HD (720p) display while the E4 Plus has a 5.5-inch HD (720p) display. Moto e4 and E4 Plus both have a 2GB/16GB variant which supports microSD card for expansion. The Moto E4 Plus might come with a 3GB/32GB variant in some regions.

The Moto E4 has an 8 MP rear camera with autofocus, f/2.2 aperture, and single-LED flash support. At the front, there is a 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture, fixed focus, single-LED flash, and a beautification mode for better selfies. The E4 Plus has a 13 MP camera with f/2.0 aperture, autofocus, and single-LED flash support.

The Moto E4 packs in a smaller 2800 mAh removable battery, while the E4 Plus packs a 5000mAh non-removable battery that supports fast charging which is the biggest USP of the phone.
