Realme has launched its first-ever smart TV in the Indian market. The company is calling it the Realme TV and unveiled it alongside the Realme Watch and the all-new Buds Air Neo TWS earbuds in an online-only event. The Realme TV will be available two screen sizes and resolutions: 32-inch HD (1,366 x 768 pixels) and 43-inch (1,920 x 1,080 pixels).
It will be an Android-powered smart TV with built-in Chromecast and Google Assistant support for AI voice commands, a 64-bit MediaTek chipset, and a 24W quad stereo speakers. It comes with pre-installed popular apps such as Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube. Google Play Store allows users to be able to download other games and video streaming apps on the smart TV.
Realme TV Specifications
In terms of specifications, the Realme TV features a premium bezel-less LED display. The Chroma Boost Picture Engine enhances the overall picture quality by providing brightness up to 400nits. The TV is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek quad-core chipset coupled with ARM Cortex-A53 CPUs and Mali-470 MP3 GPU. The smart TV comes with 1GB RAM, and 8GB internal storage. It runs the Android TV platform, which means you will have access to Google Play Store, Google Assistant, and a built-in Chromecast.
As far as the audio is concerned, the TV sports four 24W stereo speakers, which are backed by Dolby Atmos support. Realme is also teasing a 100W Soundbar along with the smart TV. The soundbar will also have four speakers and a sub-woofer and will compete against Xiaomi’s Mi Soundbar.
Dedicated hotkeys for Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video, as well as Google Assistant can be seen on the All-in-one Smart Remote. The connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, 3 x HDMI ports, 2 x USB ports, 1 x LAN, SPDIF 1, and built-in Chromecast for screen mirroring.
Price and Availability
Realme’s first smart TV is priced at ₹12,999 for the 32-inch variant, while the 43-inch variant is priced at ₹21,999. The Realme TV will go on sale starting June 2nd at 12 PM in India, via Flipkart and Realme.com. The company is offering a 1-year additional warranty for the panel along with a 1-year standard warranty. The company also promises door-step installation support.
The Realme TV will be available with six-months of YouTube premium membership and standard EMI options on Flipkart. No fancy launch offers at all. The TV will pitch against the smart TV from Xiaomi which has emerged as a leading manufacturer in the country.
