Realme has launched its first smartwatch in India alongside the Realme TV and Realme Buds Air Neo. The company is calling it Realme Watch and is a part of the series of IoT device launches by the brand. The smartwatch supports 14 sports modes and 12 watch faces. The Realme Watch has a touchscreen color display and the watch face displays six parameters such as time, steps taken, calories burned, weather, date, and even the heart rate count. The company claims that the heart rate sensor and SpO2 monitor are as accurate as medical equipment. The smartwatch can even push alerts when the heart rate count rises or falls. Let us dive deeper and have a look at the specifications of the smartwatch.
Realme Watch Specifications
Realme Watch has a 1.4-inch touchscreen color display with a square dial. The smartwatch is protected by a 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 3 and has a resolution of 320×320 pixels. The smartwatch comes with a SpO2 sensor to monitor your blood oxygen levels and an optical heart sensor as well. It supports 12 different watch faces with a promise of 100+ coming via an OTA update soon. The watch comes in black color but the straps are customizable with red, blue, and green options. It can monitor sleep, heart rate count, and meditation. It even sends you sedentary reminders to get you moving. It is IP68 water-resistant and connects via Bluetooth 5.0.
The Realme Watch can push notification from popular apps like WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Gmail, and Messages. It notifies your caller’s name and even allows you to disconnect the call from the watch itself. It can track 14 different sport modes, including cricket, yoga, walking, running, football, basketball, treadmill, badminton, table tennis, and more. Additionally, you can control your music, and there is a shortcut for the camera shutter as well. You can also unlock your smartphone once you set it up.
The company claims a battery life of 7 to 9 days. The watch comes with a magnetic charging pad in the box.
Price and Availability in India
Realme Watch is priced at ₹3,999 and will go on sale starting June 5th at noon through Flipkart and Realme website. The customizable fashion straps will be available soon for ₹499. The smartwatch will also be available via offline stores soon.
The smartwatch from Realme doesn’t have much competition in this segment. Amazfit Bip Lite is the only competition but weighs down heavily on the features when compared to the Realme smartwatch. It is worth noting that the watch will not work with iPhones as their Realme Link app is not available for iOS as of now.
That is all from this one. Stay tuned for more technology news and updates.
