A few months ago, it was reported that Motorola was working on an Android One smartphone called Motorola One Power. According to another report from Android Headlines, a new phone named Motorola One surfaced online. The smartphone was seen in Black and White colour variants.
It is highly speculated that Motorola will announce Moto Z3, Motorola One and One Power smartphones at the upcoming launch event on August 2. It looks like Motorola One series may have more than one phone in the lineup. The name suggests that the One series might include Android one smartphones as both the devices are seen sporting Android One branding at the bottom.
According to reports, both the devices sports a notch and an edge-to-edge display. The back panel also looks identical with same Motorola logo which doubles as a fingerprint sensor and a dual rear camera setup in the top left corner. However, the Motorola One Power houses the dual camera setup in a single module while Motorola One’s cameras are separated. This also hints at different camera specification in both the devices.
Reports also suggest that Motorola One is smaller when compared to the One Power. As the name suggests the One Power might come with a larger battery resulting in an increase of the thickness of the device. There is not much information on the specifications of the devices but the Motorola One Power is expected to come equipped with a 6.2-inch display along with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a 2280 x 1880 resolution. Inside, the Motorola One Power will feature a minimum of 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 5MP and 12MP rear cameras, an 8MP front-facing camera, powered by a 3,780 mAh battery.
The quest does not end here. We saw another variant of the Motorola One series with a notch-less display. It is a non-Android One edition which might be restricted to select markets. Another thing worth noting in One series is Motorola branding. Motorola has ditched the Moto branding for the One Series.
