Oppo has finally announced its much anticipated Oppo Find N2 Flip in the global market on 15th February 2023. We finally have a competition to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. In this article, we will have an in-depth look at the key specs and features of this highly anticipated smartphone.
Design and Display
The Oppo Find N2 Flip boasts a unique design with a flip mechanism that lets you switch between front and rear cameras. Oppo’s new generation Flexion Hinge is crafted from aircraft-grade high-strength steel and polymer making it incredibly strong and slim. Oppo claims to have tested the hinge for 400,000 folds. The crease is almost unnoticeable until you touch the screen. Oppo has done an incredible job managing the crease compared to its Samsung counterpart.
The smartphone is 6.54 inches tall when expanded and just 3.3 inches when folded. The width of the smartphone is 2.9-inch and the thickness is just 7.45mm and 16.02mm when folded. When folded, the phone looks like a wallet. The smartphone is available in 2 colour variants: Moonlit Purple and Astral Black.
The phone has a 6.8-inch foldable AMOLED display with a 2520 x 1080 pixels resolution and a 120Hz variable refresh rate (1Hz to 120Hz) LTPO technology. The display uses Ultra-Thin Glass as a cover glass for protection. It sports a touch sampling rate of 240Hz on the main display and 120Hz on the secondary rate. The display has a peak brightness of 1600nits in the sunlight with a 403ppi pixel density and 21:9 aspect ratio. It has a centrally aligned punch hole for the selfie shooter.
Talking of the secondary display, the OPPO Find N2 Flip has one of the largest displays in the market. At 3.26 inches, it is a 60Hz display with a resolution of 720 x 382 pixels.
Camera
The Oppo Find N2 Flip is a camera-centric phone that comes with a dual-camera setup at the rear. The primary camera is a 50MP wide-angle Sony IMX890 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and an 8MP Ultra-wide-angle camera. The selfie camera is a 32MP Sony IMX709 sensor. The primary camera sensor is the same as the OnePlus 11 and takes some decent pictures. Other features include Hasselblad modes like XPan, Pro Mode, and other master filters.
The camera features of the Oppo Find N2 Flip are impressive and include 4K video recording, night mode, portrait mode, and AI scene recognition with EIS. You can capture the video at 4K@30fps, 1080p@60fps/30fps.

Performance
The Oppo Find N2 Flip is powered by Dimensity 9000+ processor coupled with a Mali G710 GPU. In terms of storage, the device comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
The phone runs on ColorOS 13, which is based on Android 13. However, there are numerous tweaks around the UI to enhance your flip experience. The company has introduced several Bitmojis for the AOD, interactive pets to keep you entertained, and a GIF wallpaper for your cover screen. Oppo has also introduced smart widgets that let you reply to your messages, record your voice, add a timer, click a picture, control your music, take a selfie, and many more.
The phone houses a 4,300mAh battery, which supports 44W SUPERVOOC charging.
The Oppo Find N2 Flip supports 5G connectivity and offers a dual SIM card slot. The phone also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC for contactless payments. The phone has an in-display fingerprint scanner and facial recognition for biometric authentication. The stereo speakers on the phone are loud enough and are tuned by Dolby Atmos for an immersive audio experience.
Price and Availability
In a launch event held on the 15th of February, OPPO announced that the smartphone will be available globally. The company also revealed that the Oppo Find N2 Flip will cost £849. The company did not reveal the Indian pricing and release date of the Oppo Find N2 Flip. However, we expect it to be priced at around ₹80,000 in India to match the competition.

The Find N2 Flip is a highly innovative smartphone that brings a new form factor to the market. The phone boasts a unique flip mechanism, impressive camera features, powerful performance, and long battery life. However, the 4th generation of Samsung foldable has come quite far. Despite having a smaller cover screen the Galaxy Z Flip 4 allows you to do much more than OPPO’s N2 Flip.
Thus, the overall software experience on the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is more refined and Oppo still needs to work on its software experience.
