OnePlus is back with another offering in the mid-range segment. The company has already announced that the OnePlus Nord 2 will release in India on July 22nd. It is the second device of the Nord series by the company this year after the OnePlus Nord CE 5G.
However, as always the new OnePlus Nord smartphone has been leaked on the internet before the launch event. We now know the specifications, design, and even the official renders are out now. So, if you are interested in the OnePlus Nord 2 5G smartphone, this is everything we know so far.
OnePlus Nord 2 5G Specifications
OnePlus has confirmed that the Nord 2 will come with a 6.43-inch sAMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. There is no word on the display resolution but we expect it to be a full HD+ display. The company has also revealed that the smartphone will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 AI chipset. The chipset is exclusive to the smartphone and will offer additional AI features over the standard MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC.
OnePlus recently announced its merger with OPPO. As a result, OnePlus is now a sub-brand of OPPO. The company is also said to have merged the Oxygen OS’s codebase with OPPO’s Color OS. OnePlus explained that this merger will not affect the end-user but will allow the company to provide faster and regular updates for its devices. The company has recently announced three years of Android updates for its devices.
The design of the smartphone is similar to the OnePlus 9 series devices. The leaked renders show the triple camera setup at the back, the alert-slider, and the left-aligned selfie cut-out in the display. The Nord 2 sports a glass back with a plastic frame. The device will be available in Grey, Blue, Green, and Red color variants.
Camera
In terms of optics, the OnePlus Nord 2 will sport a triple camera setup at the back with a 50MP Sony IMX7666 primary sensor along with an 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP mono camera. The 50MP sensor will come with Optical Image Stabilization support. At the front, there is a 32MP (Sony IMX615 sensor) selfie camera with features like AI resolution boost, AI color boost, AI HDR remapping.
OnePlus has used the same sensor in the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. The company is pitching improved software for better camera outcomes. The company promises better low-light photography with Nightscape Ultra. AI Photo Enhancement will allow you to take better photos by automatically adjusting camera settings and scene recognition.
OnePlus is known to address the issues of its community. After a lot of criticism, the company is finally launching the OnePlus Nord 2 5G with more 7 5G bands. The phone is equipped with a 4500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging. The company claims to charge the phone in just 30 min.
Other features include Dual speakers, UFS 2.1, Haptic 2.0, dual 5G, and AI gaming modes. OnePlus Nord 2 will be available in 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB storage variants. There will be no expandable storage as usual. We have listed down the spec sheet below:

OnePlus Nord 2 5G Price and Availability
As far as availability is concerned, the OnePlus launch event is scheduled for July 22nd at 7:30 PM IST. It is an online event and will be streamed live on YouTube.
The OnePlus Nord 2 is priced at ₹29,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant while the 12GB/256GB variant is priced at ₹34,999. The Amazon page is already live for the Nord 2. The smartphone will be available in Grey Sierra, and Blue Haze color options. While another Green Woods could be specific to the 12GB variant. Another red color variant has surfaced online, leaked by a credible tipster Evan Blass on Twitter.
