OnePlus launched its much-awaited, OnePlus Nord 2 5G smartphone at an online launch event yesterday. The OnePlus Nord 2 is a successor to the OnePlus Nord, and it is the second device in the Nord series this year after the OnePlus Nord CE 5G. The OnePlus Nord 2 5G is the first OnePlus device to feature a MediaTek Dimensity chipset. The device looks identical to the OnePlus 9 series devices. It sports a punch-hole selfie camera, a rectangular camera module at the back, and an In-Display fingerprint sensor.
OnePlus surprised us all by introducing a 6GB/128GB variant, priced at ₹27,999. The company also announced a Green color variant with a leather finish available only for the 12GB/256GB variant. The Green Woods variant is exclusive to India.
OnePlus Nord 2 5G Price in India and Availability
Surprisingly, OnePlus announced a 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. It will cost you ₹27,999 and will be available in Blue Haze color. But the company added that it will be available in limited stocks only.
The company revealed that the 8GB/128GB variant will be available in Blue Haze and Gray Sierra color options. It is going to cost you ₹29,999. While the top-end variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage will be available in Blue Haze, Gray Sierra color options. The 12GB/256GB variant is going to cost you ₹34,999 in the country.
Additionally, there will be a Green Woods color option for the 12GB/256GB variant with a PU leather finish at the back. However, the Green Woods color variant is not available right now and will go on sale in August.

Amazon Prime Days sale is scheduled for 26th and 27th July that makes the launch exciting. The users will get an instant discount of ₹1000 on the OnePlus Nord 2 5G via HDFC credit cards on Amazon. OnePlus Nord 2 5G: Specifications
The Nord 2 has made a significant leap compared to the last year’s Nord in terms of specification. OnePlus Nord 2 5G looks quite similar to the OnePlus 9 series. After all the leaks and teasers let’s have a look at the official specifications of the smartphone.
Display
The OnePlus Nord 2 sports a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It has a resolution of 2400x1080p with an aspect ratio of 20:9. It comes with sRGB and P3 support and 410ppi pixel density. Other features include AI color boost and AI resolution boost to ensure the best viewing experience.
Hardware
In terms of hardware, the Nord 2 is powered by a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI SoC. The chipset is coupled with ARM G77 MC9 GPU. It is exclusive to the device and has been customized or tweaked to deliver optimum performance. The device sports up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. There is no external storage available on the Nord 2.
The phone comes equipped with other features like Dual stereo speakers, an In-Display fingerprint sensor, Face Unlock, and noise cancellation. It is good to see the signature alert slider back on the OnePlus Nord 2 which was missing on the Core Edition.
Camera
OnePlus has made a significant improvement on cameras than the previous Nord. There is a triple camera setup at the back with a 5MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP mono lens. The primary sensor is a 50MP Sony IMX7566 sensor with an aperture of f/1.8, 6P lens, and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). While the wide-angle lens comes with a 119.7-degree field of view, EIS, and f/2.25 aperture.
The rear cameras are capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps. Other features include Dual Video, Nightscape Ultra, AI Photo Enhancements, UltraShot HDR, Portrait mode, Night Portrait mode, and many more.
At the front, there is a 32MP shooter in the punch-hole cut-out for video calls and selfies. It also sports features like Group Shots 2.0 for selfies and AI Video Enhancement.
Software
The OnePlus Nord 2 is the first phone to launch after the company merged the codebase of Oxygen OS with OPPO’s Color OS. The smartphone boots with Android 11 based OxygenOS 11.3. Connectivity Battery & Ports
