It has a plastic build which is normal in this price range. The back has a matte finish, so no fingerprints will be visible. The left-aligned camera module looks quite premium.
Talking of the ports and buttons, the right edge houses a volume rocker and a power button. A 3.5mm jack, type-C port, speaker grille, and a microphone at the bottom edge. There is nothing at the left edge but at the top, there is a hybrid SIM tray and a noise-canceling microphone.
The phone looks premium with flat edges.

Now that we have evaluated both smartphones let’s discuss the above-mentioned details in a nutshell:
- Display: The Moto G73 has a more prominent display but an LCD display, while the iQOO Z7 has a smaller but AMOLED display, allowing it to have an in-display fingerprint. AMOLED display at this price point is great but I don’t mind a good LCD display and a punch-hole looks better than a teardrop notch. Frankly, you will not be able to tell much difference in most cases.
- Design: Both smartphones have a plastic build and water-repellent coating. Both smartphones look good and have a good in-hand feel.
- Performance: iQOO Z7 has a Dimensity 920 while the Moto G73 sports a Dimensity 930. Both have similar performance however, the iQOO Z7 has a better Antutu score. It again depends if you are a gamer, you must go for iQOO Z7 5G.
- Software: Both run Android 13-based custom UIs but Moto G73 is a blessing for stock android lovers while the Funtouch OS comes with a few bloatwares and added features. The iQOO Z7 is a gamer delight with a custom Motion Suite that gives you an edge over other gamers with motion controls. Another advantage of iQOO Z7 is that it offers 2 years of major Android updates while Motorola is only offering 1-year major Android update.
- Battery: Both devices should perform equally.
- Camera: The 8MP ultra-wide sensor gives an edge to Motorola but if you shoot a lot of videos then you may find iQOO better. Moto G73 lacks consistency and the pictures turn out to be a bit over-saturated. While iQOO Z7 is consistent with the picture quality.
- Connectivity: Both phones support all popular 5G bands but iQOO turns out to offer WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 for better connectivity.
- Price: iQOO Z7 6GB/128GB is priced at ₹17,499 while the 8GB/128GB variant will cost you ₹18,999. The Moto G73 5G comes in a single variant 8GB/128GB and is priced at ₹16,999.
I hope this discussion must have brought some clarity on the topic but the question is still unanswered.
iQOO Z7 5G or Moto G73 5G which is better?
Let us come straight to the point and try to answer this question. iQOO is known for its gaming smartphones and Motorola is known for its near-stock UI. So, the answer is simple.
If you use your phone for gaming, you are better off with iQOO Z7 5G as it promises a better gaming performance with enhanced gaming controls.
Otherwise, Motorola Moto G73 5G makes more sense if you are not very fond of gaming and love the clean and no-nonsense UI. It has a good camera, great battery life, and a good in-hand feel for the price.
Alright so now that the question is answered, this marks the end of this blog post. I hope this part of the literature has helped you decide which device is right for you.
So, have you decided which phone you are going to buy?
