Moto G5s Plus with Dual Camera to Launch in India Today

Update: Moto G5s & G5s Plus launched in India. Both the devices will be exclusive to Amazon India. The Moto G5s is smaller and cheaper of both the devices and sports a single 13MP camera at the back with 5.2-inch Full HD Display while Moto G5s Plus sports a larger 5.5-inch Full-HD Display with two 13MP camera sensors at the back.

Motorola is all set to launch its first dual camera phone in India today. Motorola will unveil the smartphone at an event in New Delhi. The invite said “Focus on what matters most”, making it obvious that the Moto G5s Plus with a dual camera will be unveiled at the event.

Moto G5s Plus will be exclusive to Amazon India and Amazon already has a banner up revealing the date and time of the launch.

The Moto G5s Plus looks very similar to the Moto G5 Plus but the biggest upgrade is the dual camera setup. At present Motorola is looking to bring the Moto G5s Plus in India and there is no news on the Moto G5s’s launch. The new device features an all new metal bodies, dual rear camera in the circular camera housing, a fingerprint sensor at the front and a LED flash to turn up the selfie game. There is a little left to know following the numerous leaks.

The smartphone features a 5.5-inch Full HD display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC. The device will be available in 3/4GB RAM variants with an internal storage of 32/64GB. A hybrid micro SD card slot which can be used to expand the storage up to 128GB.

The camera is the highlight of the Moto G5s Plus. At the back, there’s a pair of 13MP sensors. The setup allows for selective focus mode to achieve a DSLR-like depth-of-field effect in photos. At the front, there is an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with LED flash.

The Moto G5s Plus is fueled by a 3,000mAh battery with TurboCharge support. The device runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. It further includes a fingerprint sensor that is embedded into the home button on the front and comes with the gesture support to facilitate one hand usage.

The Moto G5s is the affordable model of the two. There is no information on the launch of the Moto G5s in India. In terms of specs, it packs a 5.2-inch Full HD display. Under the hood, there is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC is paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card (Hybrid slot).

This model does not come with a dual camera setup, rather it has a 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. There is a 5MP wide angle camera at the front which also has a LED flash. the device is fuelled by a 3,000 mAh battery and runs Android 7.1.1 out-of-the-box.
