Motorola Moto G73 5G launched in India at Rs 16,999 with MediaTek Dimensity 930 SoC | 50MP Dual Camera Setup | 5000mAh battery with 30W TurboCharging

After launching in Europe, Lenovo-owned Motorola has unveiled its latest smartphone Motorola Moto G73 5G in India. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 930 chipset, a large 5,000mAh battery, a dual rear camera setup, and a lot more.

In this article, we will give you a brief overview of the specifications, features, price, and other details of the Motorola Moto G73 5G.

Motorola Moto G73 5G Design

In terms of design, the Moto G73 has a plastic build but feels solid in hand. The smartphone weighs 181g and is 8.29mm thick. The speaker grill, a USB-Type C charging, and a 3.5mm headphone jack are located at the bottom. The volume rockers are situated slightly higher on the right edge, and below that is the Power button which doubles as a fingerprint sensor.

Motorola Moto G73 5G Specifications

The Motorola Moto G73 5G sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, support 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 90% screen-to-body ratio. The screen supports HDR10+ and comes with a punch-hole cutout on the front for a selfie shooter and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. The display comes with Panda Glass protection and not Gorilla Glass.

The smartphone is equipped with a dual-rear camera setup, a 50MP primary sensor with Ultra Pixel technology (f/1.8, 1.0 µm/2.0 µm Ultra Pixel), and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with 118-degree FoV, which also supports portrait and macro shots. At the front, there is a 16MP selfie shooter with f/2.4 Ultra Pixel technology. This is a huge improvement over the previous camera system.

I like that Motorola has not added any 2MP camera which is a pure gimmick. Instead, the brand opted for fully functional 50MP and 8MP sensors. The pictures turned out to be really impressive. For more details, I recommend you to watch the video by “TrakinTech” below. TrakinTech has also provided a link to the camera samples, you can find it here.

In terms of video, there is no 4K recording in the smartphone and you only get 1080p recording at 60fps.

The Moto G73 5G is the first smartphone in India to sport MediaTek Dimensity 930 chipset paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can expand up to 1TB via micro SD card.

From the software point of view, the Motorola Moto G73 5G runs on Android 13 OS out of the box and promises one year of major Android updates with three years of security updates. The smartphone comes with the usual Moto features like the chop to turn the flashlight on and twist to open the camera app etc. However, there is a new addition to the feature. Motorola has added a Moto Secure feature with a pin scramble feature. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with support of 30W Turbocharging. The phone comes with a USB-Type C to Type C charging cable out of the box.

The smartphone features an IP52 rating that provides safety from splash resistance. For security, the phone features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. As for connectivity, it includes 5G SA/NSA (13 5G bands), Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS, and USB Type-C.
