Nokia MWC 2017 Event To Live-Stream on Facebook, Youtube

The most highlighted event of Sunday the Nokia MWC 2017 event will be live-streamed on Facebook and Youtube. HMD Global which is bringing back the Nokia phones will host an event on 26th February in Barcelona. The company is expected to showcase four new phones and a revamped Nokia 3310.

Nokia MWC 2017 event will start at 4.30 pm in Barcelona, which is around 9 pm IST. Now the Nokia Mobile Facebook page has confirmed it will be streaming the event live on the social media network and YouTube. The page already has an event set up for Sunday 9 pm. The post reads, “We’ll be announcing live on Facebook the details of our Nokia smartphones on Android – see it here first!”

HMD Global is widely expected to release the Nokia 3310 which will be a feature phone. Other Nokia phones expected to debut tomorrow include two budget phones – Nokia 3 and Nokia 5.

Leaks have already confirmed the global launch of Nokia 6 handset which has been a great hit in China. Nokia P1 or Nokia 8 the flagship device was also leaked in a listing on JD.com. To recall, Nokia 8 is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor while sports a 5.7-inch Quad-HD Super AMOLED display. The handset is further likely to feature a 24-megapixel rear camera with OIS alongside a 12-megapixel front camera. Nokia 8 is expected to be announced in two storage versions – 64GB and 128GB. Both the models are rumoured to come with expandable storage support via microSD card slot (up to 256GB). It is said to run Android 7.0 Nougat.

French consumer electronics company Withings, which was acquired by Nokia last year, has also confirmed its presence at the Sunday Nokia MWC 2017 event in Barcelona. Considering that Withings products include activity trackers, weighing scales, thermometers, blood pressure monitors and baby monitors built on a digital platform, we can expect a collaboration of some sort in the upcoming Nokia devices.
