Earlier it was unlimited free voice calls and now Unlimited Data has set the telecom market on fire. Just a month before the end of its Happy New Year offer introduced Jio Prime Membership, which is an extension to their previous offer. Reliance Jio declared a data war offering 28 GB + 5GB extra data for users who sign up for their Prime membership by paying Rs 99, which is a one-time fee. Once you sign-up for the Jio Prime Membership, you will get 28GB of 4G data with Rs. 303 recharge, which is valid for 28 days. If you’re a postpaid user you’ll get 30GB for 30 days. There is a cap of 1GB per day which is similar to the Happy New Year Offer. Not to forget the extra 5GB data offer. There are other plans which we have already discussed in our previous post about Jio Prime Membership.
In this post, I will compare the basic plans of all major telecom operators who are offering Unlimited data.
Vodafone is offering 28GB of 4G data and unlimited calling for 28 days at Rs. 346. There is a cap of 1GB per day. Additionally, Vodafone is offering double data (56GB) and double validity (56 days) the first time a user activates this pack. The best part is if you recharge or activate this plan before 15 March, you can continue the same plan for next 11 months.
Airtel also introduced a new plan which offers 1GB 4G data per day with unlimited calling at Rs. 345. But, the offer is not as good as it seems to be. There is another condition on daily cap according to which you get 500MB data during the day and the rest 500MB during night(3 AM to 5 AM). Similar to Vodafone, you can apply for the offer before 31st March and can continue the plan for next 11 months.
Idea Cellular offering unlimited voice and 500 MB of data a day for 28 days at Rs 348. However, this is not an open market offer, and Idea Cellular users will need to check if they are eligible on the MyIdea app.
