Reliance Jio Infocomm launched the Jio Summer Surprise offer today, thereby extending the Prime membership deadline to April 15.
It is true!! and I am not playing an April fools prank on you.
Reliance Jio announced their Jio Summer Surprise offer and dropped a bomb on the last day. I guess everybody likes surprises if they are good. Right?
So let’s have a look at the Summer Surprise by Reliance Jio:
According to announcements, the company has extended the deadline for purchasing its Prime membership plan (Rs. 99) as well as Rs 303 and other plans till April 15.
“Considering the unprecedented demand for enrolling to Jio Prime and doing the first recharge, Jio has extended the deadline for purchasing Jio’s Rs 303 (and other) plans till 15th April,” said the company in a press release.
What is Jio Summer Surprise Offer?
The Summer Surprise does not end at the extension of Prime Membership deadline. The Surprise is that if you become a Prime Member (by recharging with Rs.99) and recharge with Rs. 303 or more before April 15, your free services will also be extended for 3 more months. Thus, the paid tariff will be applicable starting 1st July.
Subscribers who have already registered for Jio Prime would be automatically shifted to Summer Surprise offer.
“Jio’s free service period is coming to an end. Users who do not recharge by the extended date of 15th April will experience degradation and/or discontinuation of services,” Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries said in the statement.
“This extension (till April 15) will provide the necessary breathing room for users to avoid service disruption during the transition from free to paid services,” he added.
He further said that the company was aware of some pockets of congestion on its network, but said that services will see a “dramatic” improvement in the coming weeks as the telco invests more in its network expansion.
Jio, which has already invested over Rs. 200,000 crore in its business, will double its telecom tower network by another 100,000 in the coming months, Ambani said.
Reliance Jio has again found another method to continue its free services for three more months to the consumers. Nevermind, the competition is always good for consumers like us.
